Silver Citizen are a three-piece rock band, consisting of members Jimmy Wenham, Andy Kellie and David Hensler (also known as “Double Kick Dave”), who currently reside in Brisbane, Australia. They formed in 2016 as a reincarnation of their previous musical project. They have repackaged and refined into their new sound, which can only be described as a combination of catchy riffs, deep bass lines and explosive drums, which is polished off by Jimmy’s “Ian Kenny-esque” vocals.

Silver Citizen released their debut single “Why We Plunder” in June 2016, which was recorded at Tall Poppy studios, Brisbane. The song was well received, drawing influences from Rage Against the Machine and Muse. They also have since released a cover of Adele’s “Skyfall” in March 2017; reincarnating the song with a heavy rock face-lift. The single which was self-produced by the band and recorded/mixed by bassist, Andy Kellie.

“The guitar riffs are edgy and fast, accompanied by deep thick bass, and resounding vocal ranges giving Silver Citizen a hard rock back bite with little hip hop flair. Fans of groups like Queens of the Stone Age or Wolfmother would find Silver Citizen can fit quite well into their playlists." – NeuFutur Magazine
